As one writes an essay one can see that there are several
steps to getting to the perfect essay. The first step to writing an essay is to
brainstorm all of the ideas or interest one likes or would like to write about.
After one is done brainstorming one should write down all of the information
down on a piece of paper. All of this information will become the body of
paragraphs. The information collected or written down has to get organized. This means that from all of the information
gathered, one has to choose what is important and what is not so important. While choosing what is important and what is
not so important one has to keep their audience in mind. One has to decide what
type of theme and language to use to reach their audience. After the body of paragraph is gathered and
put in order, the conclusion can be added. The conclusion consists of a summary
of all of the information gathered, in one or two sentences; a thesis that is
restated in a clearer way, and a call to action. When the body of paragraph and
conclusion is done, one can start on the introduction. The introduction is a
road map to what the essay will be about. It has a thesis statement, an
expansion of the title, and in the last sentence it has a hint that there will
be a transition to the body of paragraph. After all of this is done one will
have a rough draft of the essay. At this point one should look over it to make
sure that it flows and is in logical order. After one fixes all of things that one
found one should have someone else read it to see if they find anything that
one did not catch. After all of the fixes are made, one finally has a final draft,
which is the final step is done.
